World's Wonderful Christmas Cookies

These drop cookies are made from dough that has cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves & orange juice for flavor, with pecans, candied cherries & citron stirred in.
 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cloves
  • 1 1/2 tbsp milk
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 2 cup raisins
  • 2 cup pecan halves, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup chopped candied citron
  • 2 cups chopped candied cherries

Method

Preset oven to 325 degrees; grease and lightly flour a cookie sheet. Cream sugar and butter thoroughly then add beaten eggs. Stir together 1/2 cup of the flour, the soda, and all spices; add to egg mixture, beating at low speed until combined. Stir in milk and orange juice. Toss raisins with the remaining flour; add floured raisins, nuts, citron, and cherries to egg mixture. Stir until well blended. Using a spoon, drop cookie dough on cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees about 25 minutes.
