Triple Layer Cookie Bars

This recipe requires little mixing. Graham crumbs, coconut and sweetened condensed milk are layered and covered with a chocolate-peanut butter combo.
 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 7 oz. package coconut (2 2/3 cups)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 6 oz. package semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

Method

Preheat oven to 350 degree oven. In 13x9 baking pan, melt butter in oven. Remove from oven. Sprinkle graham crumbs evenly over butter. Top evenly with coconut then with milk. Bake 25 minutes until lightly browned. In small saucepan over low heat, melt chips with peanut butter. Spread evenly over the hot coconut layer. Cool 30 minutes. Chill thoroughly. Cut in bars. Store loosely covered at room temperature.
