Super-Easy Butter Cookies

Starting with a cake mix makes these rolled and cut-out cookies easier. After baking they may be decorated or left plain.

Ingredients

1 butter-recipe cake mix
1 stick unsalted butter
1 jumbo egg
1/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Sprinkles, mini-chips, frosting, candies, powdered sugar (optional)

Method

In large bowl mix cake mix, egg, flour, butter, and vanilla; mix until a ball forms. May add chips of choice. Roll out or press to 1/2-inch thickness; cut with cookie cutters or rim of a glass. Place on cookie sheet. Bake @ 350 for 7-10 minutes (7 minutes for chewy; 10 minutes for crunchy.) Remove from cookie sheet. Cool; frost, decorate, or sprinkle with powdered sugar. Great as is!

Notes: Once dough is made you may add chips. Super easy and delicious! Tastes as if you were in the kitchen all day!
