Orange Rosemary Cookie Bars

These bars are made easy with sugar cookie mix. Stir in rosemary and top with an orange filling for a delicious cookie bar.Ingredients
- cookie base:
- 1 17.5-oz pkg. sugar cookie mix
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon fresh minced rosemary
- 1 egg
- Topping:
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
- 3/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 2/3 cup orange marmalade
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh minced rosemary

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly coat a 13x9x2 inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside. In large bowl, combine all cookie base ingredients. Press into prepared pan. Bake 10 minutes. In same bowl, beat together sugar and 4 eggs till creamy. Stir in orange peel, orange juice, and flour. Spoon over parbaked crust. In small bowl, combine marmalade with rosemary. Drop by teaspoons over filling. Bake 22 to 25 minutes or until golden. Allow to cool before refrigerating. Cut into bars.
Notes: The flavor combination of orange and rosemary can't be beat.
