Ingredients:

1 stick Margarine
1 stick Butter
2 Eggs Beaten
1 cup Vegetable Oil
Pinch Salt
1 tsp Vanilla
5 cups Flour

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together the margarine, butter and sugar. Add the beaten eggs, vegetable oil, salt and vanilla. Sift flour, soda and cream of tarter and add this to the mixture and form into a giant ball. Roll the dough into balls the size of walnuts, then roll in sugar. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and press with a cookie press or the bottom of a water glass. Bake 350 degrees for 11 minutes. When cooled, combine frosting ingredients. Frost cookies and then sprinkle with decorations.

Helpful Tips:

I make these for each holiday, by adding food coloring to the frosting, as well as holiday decoration sprinkles and colored sugars. You can make a batch and freeze them until needed. Just take them out of freezer and frost when needed. They are also good without the frosting. This recipe is my family's favorite and well as my friends. I give them away as gifts at Christmas and people ask me to make them for their holiday parties. I start taking orders as early as Halloween for Christmas.
