Jenni's Homemade Reese's Brownies

The batter for these chocolaty brownies also contains peanut butter, plus Reese's pieces--both stirred in and sprinkled on top.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, if desired
  • 1 pkg Reese's premier baking pieces

Method

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar, margarine, vanilla, eggs and peanut butter. Stir in remaining ingredients, but only 1/2 the Reeses baking pieces. Spread in greased square 8x8x2-inch baking pan. Sprinkle rest of Reese's baking pieces evenly over top. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 25 to 30 minutes, then cool and cut.

 

Notes: If you love Reese's, you're bound to love these brownies. They'll have your taste buds bouncing all around.
