Gooey Bars

These cream cheese bars use light cake mix, egg substitute, and fat-free margarine and cream cheese.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 Box "Lite" Yellow Cake Mix
  • 3 Egg Beaters (3/4 C)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 C Fat-Free Margarine
  • 8 oz. Fat-Free Cream Cheese
  • 1 box Powdered Sugar (2 cups)

Method

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Blend together with a hand mixer the cake mix, one egg beaters (1/4 C), margarine and vanilla. Spray 9x13 pan with non-fat cooking spray. Pour mixture into pan and spread to all edges. In separate bowl, mix together cream cheese, 2 egg beaters (1/2 cup) and powdered sugar. Blend well with hand mixer. Pour cheese mixture over cake mixture. Bake 300 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool and cut into 40 squares.
