Favorite Brownies

Who can resist chewy, chocolatey brownies? These classic bars are favorites for all ages.
 

Ingredients

  • 1/4 C butter
  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. vanilla
  • 1/2 c flour
  • 1/2 c chopped nuts(optional)

Method

Melt butter and chocolate, set aside. Beat eggs until light and foamy, beat in sugar. Add salt and vanilla. Stir in cooled chocolate mixture, then stir in flour. Fold in nuts. Bake at 350 F in an 8" square pan about 20 mins.

 

Notes: MAY BE DOUBLED
