Cream Cheese Spritz

Cream cheese adds flavor and moistness to these delicate cut out cookies.
 

Ingredients

  • 1 lb butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 cups flour

Method

Beat butter, cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla in mixer until combined. Add baking powder, 2 cups flour and salt. Mix slowly to combine. Add remaining flour and beat until combined. Chill dough 2 hours. Divide dough into small portions and roll out, on a floured surface, to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters and bake in 350 degree oven 8-10 minutes, or until just lightly browned around edges.
