Cream Cheese Bars

Crescent roll dough makes the base and topper for this cookie bar recipe, with a sweet filling of cream cheese. A cinnamon-sugar mixture goes over the entire cream cheese dessert.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 tubes crescent roll dough
  • 2 8oz. pkgs. cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, separated
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Method

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9X13 pan with nonstick spray. Place 1 can crescent rolls in pan and pat out like pizza dough. Mix 2/3 cup sugar and the egg white into cream cheese. Pour into pan over dough. Dust 2 sheets waxed paper with flour and roll out the second can of rolls. Place on top of filling. Mix remaining sugar, cinnamon & the egg yolk. Sprinkle over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until done.
