Chocolate Meringue Drops

These baked chocolate meringue cookies contain the egg whites and sugar used in divinity, and are fold in melted chocolate.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 egg whites
  • dash salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, melted and cooled
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Method

Beat egg whites and salt until foamy. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. Add vanilla and vinegar. Fold in chocolate and walnuts. Drop by spoonfuls on parchment paper; bake at 350 degrees 10-12 minutes.
