Chocolate Coconut Macaroons

Cookies made with coconut and chocolate that can be made in a jiffy.
 

Ingredients

  • 2 (1-oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 4 c. packed, sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1 (14-oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

Heat oven to 350-degrees. In medium mixing bowl mix melted chocolate with milk; add coconut and mix thoroughly. Stir in vanilla. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto well greased baking sheet, 1-inches apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from sheet.

 

Notes: For Plain Coconut Macaroons-Omit the chocolate and use 1-pound coconut. Mix and bake as above.
